Vandaag maakte de organisatie van gamescom 2018 de nominaties voor de gamescom-awards bekend. In 29 categorieën worden dit jaar prijzen uitgereikt. gamescom vindt dit jaar plaatst van 21 tot 25 augustus.

De laatste fase van de gamescom-awards is inmiddels aangebroken. Een jury bestaande uit zowel Duitse als Internationale journalisten en bekende YouTubers maakten de laatste genomineerde bekend. De prijsuitreiking vindt plaatst op 21 augustus om twaalf uur in de Konrad-Adenauer-Saal oftewel Congres Centrum Noord. De Most Wanted Consumer Award daarentegen reiken ze op 24 augustus om 2 uur uit. Fans die graag stemmen op hun favoriete games en ontwikkelaars doen dit via de officiële gamescom-app. Uiteraard zijn wij van Pixel Vault ook aanwezig op gamescom om verslag uit te brengen.
