Nintendo doet opnieuw goede zaken op een prijsuitreiking. Tijdens de jaarlijkse Dice Awards sleepte Nintendo een groot deel van de prijzen in de wacht, waaronder de belangrijkste Game of The Year-onderscheiding voor The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. De prijzen worden jaarlijks uitgereikt door de Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

Nintendo was met The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild de grote winnaar van de Dice Awards. Breath of the Wild sleepte naast Game of the Year ook nog onder meer de onderscheidingen Adventure Game of the Year en Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction en Design in de wacht. Daarnaast won Nintendo ook nog de prijs voor de beste race game met Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, de beste strategie game met Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle en beste handheld game met Metroid: Samus Returns.

Een andere grote winnaar bij de Dice Awards was Cuphead, die awards won voor Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition en voor Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction en Animation. Hieronder vind je een overzicht van alle winnaars van de Dice Awards van dit jaar.
