Ieder jaar zijn er een aantal grote prijsuitreikingen voor de game-industrie, waarbij de DICE Awards tot de grotere behoren. Dit jaar zijn ze voor de negentiende keer uitgereikt, met als grote winnaars Fallout 4, Rocket League en Ori and the Blind Forest.

De DICE Awards, niet te verwarren met de Zweedse ontwikkelstudio, worden uitgereikt door The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. Deze organisatie draait alweer twintig jaar mee en richt zich voornamelijk op de vooruitgang en erkenning van de interactieve kunsten, zoals videogames. De Awards-ceremonie is onderdeel van het jaarlijkse DICE Summit, een bijeenkomst van alle grote namen uit de industrie.

Grote winnaars dit jaar zijn Fallout 4, Ori and the Blind Forest, Rocket League en The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Fallout 4 ging er met de grootste prijzen vandoor: Game of the Year, Role-Playing / Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year en Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction.
