Major Nelson van Microsoft heeft vandaag een lijst vrijgegeven met daarop de eerste Xbox 360-games die backwards-compatible zullen worden met de Xbox One. De lijst bestaat uit 104 games, waarvan het gros Xbox Live Arcade-games is.

Sinds de aankondiging van Microsoft om de Xbox One backwards-compatible te maken met Xbox 360-games staan fans te trappelen om te horen welke games precies werkzaam zullen zijn. Microsoft beloofde tegen het einde van het jaar met meer informatie te komen. Major Nelson liet vandaag op zijn website weten wat de eerste werkzame games zullen zijn. Het zijn er 104 in totaal, waarvan veel titels uit de Xbox Live Arcade komen. Maar de Xbox 360-games die tot nu toe bekend zijn, zijn over het algemeen grote namen zoals Assassin’s Creed II, Fallout 3 en Gears of War. Deze games moeten vanaf 12 november speelbaar zijn.

Let op: de games waar massaal op gestemd is, staan hier nog niet tussen. Microsoft neemt alle suggesties in behandeling en maakt een keuze afhankelijk van de populariteit van de titel. Vanaf december zal Microsoft regelmatig nieuwe Xbox 360-games aankondigen die werkzaam zijn op de Xbox One. De games die populair blijken zullen uiteraard meer kans maken.
